Emilia Clarke has just revealed the hit food-themed TV show she'd love to appear in, alongside her go-to hangover cure, favourite comfort foods and a surprisingly controversial drinks opinion.

Speaking on the latest episode of Dish from Waitrose podcast with the best hosts Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, the Game of Thrones star shared plenty of foodie confessions, and it turns out she's just as passionate about eating and cooking as she is acting.

Perhaps the biggest revelation came when she admitted she'd love to appear in The Bear, the award-winning restaurant drama TV show that has become essential viewing for food lovers worldwide. While discussing television and food culture, she joked that she'd happily sign up for a role in the famously chaotic kitchen.

The actress also shared a long list of favourite foods, which she revealed she'd written down while feeling hungover. Among her top picks were tomatoes, curries, pizza, anchovies and shakshuka, proving she's firmly on team savoury (we’re with you on that one, Emilia)

And when it comes to curing a hangover, she likes to keep things supersimple. Her fix? Salt - and lots of it.

Asked what she craves the morning after, she revealed that anything salty hits the spot, from bread and butter to pretty much anything she can get her hands on. It's a very relatable answer in a world of elaborate wellness hacks and expensive recovery drinks.

But perhaps the most surprising foodie fact to come out of the conversation was that Emilia admitted she’s not a fan of Prosecco – preferring a good martini instead.

Away from restaurants and hangovers, Emilia also described herself as someone who genuinely loves cooking for other people. She recalled hosting Christmas dinner for 16 guests, complete with two geese, nine side dishes and three desserts.

From martinis and pizza to dreams of joining The Bear, Emilia Clarke is exactly the kind of dinner party host we'd like an invite from.
