It’s payday weekend, hurrah! And with just two paydays left before Christmas, we’re getting ahead of the game: one tub of Quality Street to enjoy now, and another to pop away until the big day. Because let’s face it, it’s not Christmas without them. We do miss the proper tins, though.
To help you restock your stash, we’ve checked prices at the major retailers to find the best deals right now, including where to pick up a 550g tub for as little as £3.95, down from around £7.
We focused on the standard 550g tub – no other sizes, and no dupes. We checked Amazon, Aldi, Asda, Co-op, Iceland, Morrisons, Ocado, Sainsbury’s and Tesco. Lidl, M&S and Waitrose aren’t included, as they don’t currently stock it.
Aldi is the cheapest, with tubs selling in store for £3.95 – and you won’t need a loyalty card or points to get the deal.
Tesco' tubs are also just £3.95 – but you’ll need a Clubcard. Without one, the price is £7.
Amazon and Asda are both selling tubs for £4. Ocado is next at £4.50 (usually £8), followed by Co-op at £4.95. Morrisons charges £5.75 with a More Card, or £7 without one. Iceland is the most expensive of the retailers we checked, at £7.
So if you’re buying two, Aldi is the one to beat: £7.90 for both tubs. That’s one for now, one for later – and one less thing to think about when Christmas rolls around. Prices can change, so check before you shop.
