M &S knows how to make a very impressive dessert, and its brand-new Snow Much Fun dessert is one of the most spectacular Christmas puddings we've seen in a long time. Why make your own Christmas dessert when you can buy something so impressive?

Part of M&S's Christmas Food to Order range, Snow Much Fun is a really impressive layered mousse dessert that is designed to serve 10 people. And despite its grandeur appearance, it only costs £25 for 1kg, working out at just £2.50 per person.

The dessert is made up of layers of rich chocolate mousse, chocolate sauce and salted caramel, all sitting on a milk and dark chocolate base with crunchy cornflake pieces. It's topped with a layer of smooth white chocolate mousse and finished with the cutest little penguin decorations, making it feel much more fun than the usual Christmas pudding or Yule Log.

It sounds seriously indulgent, but there's enough contrast between the rich chocolate, sweet salted caramel and crunchy base to keep every mouthful interesting. And while we'd usually expect a dessert this elaborate to come with a hefty price tag, £25 for something that serves 10 feels surprisingly reasonable – especially when you consider that it also doubles as a centrepiece.

There's another detail that makes it particularly appealing for Christmas hosts: M&S guarantees its freshness. So you can order your dessert ahead of the big day without worrying that it'll be past its best by the time Christmas dinner rolls around.

Snow Much Fun is available to order from Mon 21 December through M&S Christmas Food to Order, with collection in the days leading up to Christmas. And if you're looking for something a little more exciting than the traditional festive pud this year, we'd say this one deserves a prime position on the Christmas table.
