We all have little lies that we like to tell ourselves. I have a few lazy beauty habits that I don’t like to admit to. In that dark corner of denial sit flashbacks of drunken nights where no amount of military intervention could persuade me to wipe off my mascara. So too is the fact that months have passed since the last time I cleaned my makeup brushes – despite using them on my face every single day.

When did you last run your bronzer brush under the cold tap? Has your makeup sponge even seen suds in 2026? Admit it, it’s one of those jobs that slips off the to-do list. Well, the StylPro Make Up Brush Cleaner is here to make cleaning your brushes so simple and satisfying, you’ll never miss wash day again. It has altered the fate of my filthy tools forever. Not to be dramatic.

The bowl, device and the eight silicone collars

How to use the StylPro Make Up Brush Cleaner

The device comes with a dishwasher-safe bowl, eight silicone collars of different sizes for a range of different makeup brushes, two sachets of cleanser for brushes used with base products (the brand advises you use a soap and water solution for any powder brushes), and a centrifugal force device to – for want of a more scientific description – spin the brushes around really fast.

Simply source the relevant silicone collar for your brush size, attach one end to the brush and the other to the centrifugal machine, add the sachet of brush cleanser or soap and water to the bowl, and start spinning.

The liquid will immediately turn a murky colour if your brushes have been left to fester as long as mine had. After about 10 seconds, pull the brush up slightly so it’s spinning inside the bowl but above the water, so the bowl catches any spatters that fly off the brush while it dries. Just be careful not to let the brush touch the sides, or the device will stop spinning.

Not only is this whole process deeply satisfying, but it’s so unbelievably quick. The longest it took me to wash and dry a brush was 30 seconds, and you’re left with soft, feathery bristles every time.

My younger sister saw me using this at the weekend and is now desperate for me to get her one for her paint brushes – although I can’t attest to its ability to remove oil paint. She was gutted when all my family’s makeup brushes were clean and she had no excuse to use “the spinny thing” anymore. It’s so addictive that I genuinely felt her pain.

Is StylPro better than other brush cleaners?

I came for the washing tech, but I stayed for the drying function. The centrifugal force is what sets this makeup brush cleaner apart from others on the market. With other devices I’ve tried in the past, you get a little stand to dry the brushes on, but you can leave them your brushes there for days and they’re still damp.

The StylePro device’s 20-second drying feature means you can wash your brushes just before you need to use them and they’re clean and ready to go.

My verdict on The StylPro Makeup Brush Cleaner

As I might have mentioned, I’m now totally addicted to washing my makeup brushes. While I might never win the battle between bedtime and a double cleanse, I can proudly say I’m now regularly washing my makeup brushes (no white lies involved).

I do feel slightly aggrieved that this StylPro device only comes with two tiny sachets of washing solution for foundation and concealer brushes, but you can buy a big bottle separately and it’s worth every penny not to have damp brushes hanging around. Also, I’ll never turn down an opportunity to say the word ‘centrifugal’.
