This reliable cleaner is a step up from Roborock’s standard mid-range Qrevo robots thanks to its ‘pro’ features, including more powerful suction and hot mop washing. However, without the super-premium features of the flagship Saros models, this robot vacuum sits just under £600, making it a good mid-range buy for most households.

With its powerful suction, this Roborock model excelled in our biscuit crumb and Rice Krispies tests, gobbling up large chunks and returning to pick up any that had been crushed into smaller pieces. It performed well on carpet, manoeuvring around furniture, sticking to maps and no-go zones, and sucking up the top layer of dust. Some ingrained debris was left behind in the carpet fibres, but that can easily be picked up when you do a deep clean.

Pet owners should note that it struggled to collect clumps of hair, tending to push it along the floor rather than vacuum it up. None of the finer hairs got stuck round the brush though, thanks to the roller’s rubber blades.

It was also nifty at mopping, removing fresh ketchup, mud, tea and coffee spills within the first cleaning cycle. Dried stains were a tougher test though with a splatter of ketchup needing up to three cleans before it was completely clear. Programme the robot to go out and mop right after a spillage and you’ll get the best results.

You can manually control the robot via the app or set schedules for it to do a daily clean automatically. The voice controls were a little laggy, so you’ll need some patience when using your Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri but, overall, the robot was responsive and super easy to use.
