What’s in the American Girl Advent Calendar?
It’s got 24 day’s worth of doll accessories including doll-sized wearables like a winter hat, bracelets, and hair clips. They’re small, so only meant for dolls and not sized for girls to share. Then there’s many pretend-play items such as a snack tray and several pretend cookies. Finally, there are items that kids can pretend to have one doll gift another, such as a plant, bottle of lotion, pretend gift card, tube of lip gloss, framed picture, and more.
Many of these are accessories not sold in other sets, so that makes the advent calendar special.

The toy accessories included in the advent calendar are meant to delight doll owners ages 6+, and I think they’re best for kids and tweens ages 6 to 12 who will play pretend with the cups of hot cocoa and miniature desserts included in the countdown.
Everything is sized for the traditional 18-inch dolls, such as the historical characters, the Girl of the Year, and the Truly Me customizable dolls.
I went down a rabbit hole in a Reddit thread of adult American Girl fans who wish the brand would sell a doll-size Christmas tree. That would be something that display-minded grown-up fans could set their dolls around (each dressed in a doll-sized holiday outfit, of course). Consider this me chiming in with that request!
