As temperatures climb and sunny days become the norm, Starbucks is kicking off the new season with a summer menu featuring one brand-new drink alongside two returning favorites—all tied together by colorful, nostalgic flavors.
The brand is leaning into bright, summery flavors with a new Refresher that mixes shades of purple, peach, yellow, and magenta into one eye-catching drink. Coffee lovers, meanwhile, can look forward to two horchata-inspired beverages that pair cozy cinnamon and vanilla flavors with a chilled, refreshing twist. The full lineup arrived in stores on May 12, so you can get it now.
Here’s your guide.
Tropical Butterfly Refresher
Hot off the heels of Starbucks’ new Energy Refreshers, the brand announced the addition of a new Tropical Butterfly Refresher—and it’s a fruit-flavored explosion. Made with passionfruit and guava flavors, it also includes mango-pineapple pearls that burst as you sip. To finish, the drink gets a splash of butterfly pea flower, a natural purple dye that shifts its color from peach to magenta.
Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso
Making its triumphant (limited-time) return is the Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso. The Mexican-inspired drink plays on the success of Starbucks’ Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, swapping brown sugar for horchata—a blend of cinnamon, vanilla, and toasted rice. The drink offers the best of both worlds: warm spices sippable in an iced format.
Horchata Frappuccino
For blended drink fans, the beverage will also be available as a Horchata Frappuccino, a new addition to this year’s summer menu. It combines the warm, spiced flavor of horchata syrup with Starbucks Blonde Espresso, then finishes with whipped cream.
Unicorn Cake Pop
And because it wouldn’t be a Starbucks drop without something sweet on the side, the brand is bringing back its Unicorn Cake Pop. It’s made with creamy vanilla cake and confetti sprinkles, coated in white chocolate, and finished with a horn, mane, and lashes for a bit of extra flair.
