• Costco has recalled certain Jones Dairy Farm Chicken Sausage Links sold in May. The affected products were sold between May 1 and May 28, 2026, and have a use-by date of April 29, 2027.
  • The recall stems from a packaging mix-up during production. A small number of pork sausage links were accidentally mixed into packages labeled as chicken sausage links.
  • The issue is not considered a food safety risk. Costco and Jones Dairy Farm described the incident as isolated, but the product is being recalled because the packaging does not disclose the presence of pork.

Attention, Costco shoppers, it's time to check your fridge for one more important recall.

On June 1, Costco sent a letter to customers sharing an important recall for Jones Dairy Farm Chicken Sausage Links, which may contain ingredients that are not disclosed on the packaging. Here's what customers need to know.

What, exactly, is being recalled?

According to the Costco letter, the recall is specifically for Jones Dairy Farm Chicken Sausage Links (which also goes by Costco item #1211239), which were sold between May 1, 2026 and May 28, 2026. The recalled chicken sausages also have a use-by date of April 29, 2027, printed on the front of the label.

Why is this sausage being recalled?

The Costco letter noted that the Jones Dairy Farm Chicken Sausage Links are being recalled due to a production error, which introduced pork to some of the product.

"While not a food safety concern, we have identified that during production, a small amount of pork links were introduced while packing the referenced chicken links," Costco said. "This is an isolated event only impacting a limited amount of product."

Jones Dairy Farm added in the letter, "We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We stand behind the quality of all our products and are committed to making this right."

Are there other recalls I need to know about right now?

Yes, there are a number of active recalls going around right now in connection with a recalled milk powder. That includes the recall of Motor City Pizza Co.'s recall of certain lots of its 5 Cheese Bread, which were also sold at Costco. "The recalled milk powder was supplied to a third-party manufacturer that provides a seasoning blend used in our 5-cheese sauce blend," the company explained about that particular recall. "To date, neither Champion Foods LLC nor our suppliers have received any reports of illness or injury related to these products."

Walmart also published a voluntary recall of specific packets of Parmesan ranch seasoning products that used the same milk powder, as did Kroger for its Homestyle Cheese Garlic Croutons. You can also always keep track of all the latest recalls here.
