Kelly Clarkson announced she’s releasing new music this summer.
Her new single, “I’d Be Lyin’,” will debut on July 17 on all listening platforms.
The news comes as The Kelly Clarkson Show winds down after seven seasons, and she returns to The Voice for season 30 on NBC in the fall of 2026.
Kelly Clarkson is stepping back into the music game.
As the singer prepares to end her hit talk series, The Kelly Clarkson Show, after seven seasons, fans may be wondering what she’ll be up to next. For one, Kelly is preparing for her Studio Sessions summer residency in Las Vegas. But she also dropped a major bombshell about releasing new music.
On July 2, the original American Idol winner announced on Instagram that she will release a new single, “I’d Be Lyin’,” on July 17. Fans can already pre-save the new track.
“New Single? 👀,” she teased in the caption. “#IdBeLyin Pre-save link in bio! #July17.”
Given that it’s been some time since Kelly released new music, fans couldn’t hold back their excitement.
“I’d be lyin’ if I said I wasn’t obsessed with this song already,” one person wrote in the comments. “July 17th is officially a national holiday,” another penned. “Where have you been? What took you so long? YAAAAAAY NEW KELLY MUSIC 🫶🏻,” a different follower added.
Kelly’s last full-length album, a holiday record called When Christmas Comes Around ... Again, dropped in 2024. Her previous record, Chemistry, was released back in 2023.
While it’s still a few weeks before “I’d Be Lyin’” comes out, music isn’t the only thing Kelly has on her plate this year. She’s also returning to The Voice as a coach for season 30, with new episodes slated to premiere on Monday, September 23, 2026, on NBC.
Can time speed up so we can listen to the new song, please?
