Reba McEntire has been releasing music since the late ’70s, with hits like “Survivor” and “Fancy.”
Reba announced a new chapter in her music career and shared how it came about.
The news comes as she works on Happy’s Place season 3, set to air on Friday, October 23, 2026, on NBC.
Reba McEntire has been in the music industry a long time, and she’s always finding ways to step up her game.
The country singer’s career took off in the ’70’s, and fans know her for hits like “Survivor,” “Fancy,” and plenty of others. But in 2026, she decided to take a new approach to her releases. Reba has dropped several digital EPs throughout the year (her latest, Tourist, debuted on August 21), and each features a new track and other highlights from her extensive catalog.
She told Billboard that her manager, Josh McIntosh, worked with her record label, MCA Records, on the strategy to reach new pockets of listeners.
“I thought it was totally genius, because the catalog business is booming right now,” she said in the interview published on August 20. “People are getting very nostalgic, and they like the old songs they are familiar with. So, to pair a brand new song with past songs that are in the catalog, I told Justin, ‘This is one of the most creative, genius things I’ve seen done.’”
Reba also noted that creating the new music, which includes her latest hit, “Ring Ring,” ignited her passion in a totally different way.
“I thought it was fun, and then I thought, ‘Well, it might be too silly. I’m 71 years old. Why am I singing songs like this?’” she added. “But the more I listened to it, the more I loved it. It brought out the kid in me.”
Reba’s new music rollout comes as she works on Happy’s Place season 3, set to air on Friday, October 23, 2026, on NBC.
It’s all about keeping the momentum going.
“The barking dog gets the biscuit, so you got to come up with something that’s interesting,” she concluded. “You just got to keep recreating yourself.”
