Matthew Gray Gubler is making a rare public appearance.

The actor has been busy gearing up for his upcoming series Einstein, set to premiere in early 2027 on CBS. And while there’s still time before we get to see what he’s been working on, Matthew is giving fans a sneak peek in a way no one saw coming.

As CBS announced on Instagram on September 24, Matthew will partake in an official Einstein panel at the 2026 New York Comic Con on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Alongside the Criminal Minds alum, the panel will include his Einstein co-stars Melissa Fumero and Tony Shalhoub.

“NEW YORK, WE’RE COMING FOR YOU🗽✨,” the caption read. “CBS Studios is taking over NYCC with a weekend of Ghosts & Eternally Yours, Star Trek, NCIS, and Einstein!📍New York Comic Con. 🎟️ Oct. 9-11. See you there!”

Shortly after the news broke, fans were over the moon.

“EINSTEIN PANEL SEE YOU THERE 🧠,” one person shouted. “MATTHEW OH MY GOD,” another exclaimed. “How do I buy a ticket?! 🎟️ I want to see my Einstein, @gublergram. 😍,” a different follower asked.

While this will be the first time Matthew interacts with fans about Einstein, he previously opened up about what it’s been like to work with the cast.

“[The dynamic] magical. Sensational and magical. Spectacular, marvelous, incredible,” he told TV Insider during the 2026 CBS Fest back in April. “We’re having a wonderful time together, and we’ve only been shooting for 11 days, but it feels like 11 years in the best way.”

Einstein follows Matthew as he portrays Lewis Einstein, the fictional great-grandson of Albert Einstein. A brilliant yet lackadaisical Princeton University professor, his antics get him in trouble with the police. As a result, he’s assigned to Detective Teri London (played by Melissa), who solves bizarre cases in the city’s local police department. Tony is set to portray Lewis’ father, Jack Einstein.
