The Kelly Clarkson Show is ending after seven seasons on NBC this fall.

Host Kelly Clarkson surprised fans with an unexpected move on daytime TV, saying she was “done” with wearing shoes.

Fans sided with Kelly on her bold claim.

There are some days Kelly Clarkson says she’s done with working … but it’s not for the reasons you may think.

As The Kelly Clarkson Show wraps up after seven seasons on the air, fans are tuning in to watch the final moments of Kelly hosting and performing “Kellyoke” covers. But when Kelly gave her opening monologue for the March 19 episode, fans couldn’t help but notice something different about her look.

The singer dazzled in a simple tan maxi dress and went barefoot throughout the episode. She quickly explained to viewers why she made the daring move.

“If you notice, my shoes are off because I’m done!” she stated in a clip posted on Instagram. “I don’t want to wear shoes right now. I’m like, no, I’m comfortable.”

Apparently, Kelly wasn’t the only one fed up with wearing shoes that day because her guest, Scarpetta star Jamie Lee Curtis, also decided to forgo them during her interview.

“They looked good on my feet, but you know what? The truth is … mommy is barefoot,” Jamie joked. “Ninety-five percent of my day, I’m barefoot, and I wear black. So, this is me, channeling the character I play on Scarpetta, Dorothy.”

After seeing Kelly’s surprising clothing choice on TV, fans immediately showed their support online.

“Barefoot is the way to live 💯,” one person commented.

“I hate wearing shoes!!! If it was socially acceptable, I would never wear shoes!” another agreed.

“Yesssss, 🙌 Same ... love you both ladies ❤️,” a different follower added.

We don’t know about you, but this is definitely something we—and our feet—can get behind.
