Gilmore Girls aired for seven seasons from 2000 through 2007.

The hit drama has been streaming on Netflix for the last few years, and Netflix announced Gilmore Girls is leaving the site on June 30.

Fans were all riled up and they threatened to cancel their Netflix subscriptions over this Gilmore Girls news.

Gilmore Girls fans, it looks like things are about to change drastically for all of us who love Stars Hollow.

The WB drama ended back in 2007 after seven seasons, but fans continue to watch the show almost two decades after the final episode. And many watch it on Netflix, the streamer that currently has every season, along with the show’s spinoff series, Gilmore Girls: A Day in the Life, available.

But unfortunately, that’s about to come to an end.

Netflix shocked fans with a major announcement on June 15—and it’s one folks are extremely frustrated about. After seeing a post uploaded on X, viewers were devastated to learn that Gilmore Girls is leaving Netflix in the U.S. on June 30.

“It's a show? It's a lifestyle. It's a religion,” the caption read. “We are sorry to say that Gilmore Girls Seasons 1-7 will be leaving Netflix in the US on June 30. Raising a cup of coffee to every fan who visited Stars Hollow with us.”

As soon as fans heard about the bombshell news, they were all riled up with emotions.

“I will literally cancel my membership. Fix this,” one person threatened in the comments. “WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS,” another screamed. “This is criminal … Bye Netflix,” a different follower added. Some even posted screenshots of themselves indeed canceling their subscription.

Even though this news about Gilmore Girls leaving Netflix is heartbreaking, the streamer isn’t the only site that had all seven seasons available to watch. Hulu also has Gilmore Girls on its site, giving fans a way to see the show in full once it leaves Netflix at the end of June.

BTW, for those who want to get a head start on watching Gilmore Girls on Hulu—the streamer offers plans that start at $11.99 per month or $119.99 per year. Once you’re ready, watch the show on Hulu’s website or on the Hulu app.
