Wheel of Fortune season 44 is slated to premiere in September 2026.
Fans on Reddit are begging host Ryan Seacrest to change one thing about his hosting style ahead of the new season.
As Wheel of Fortune gears up for a new season, fans have a big ask for host Ryan Seacrest.
New episodes of the hit game show are set to premiere in September 2026 with Ryan and his co-star, Vanna White, at the helm. While the premise of Wheel of Fortune is long-standing, folks on Reddit are hoping for something a little different in season 44. As seen in a since-deleted post, some are asking Ryan to tell them exactly what the contestants have won at the end.
“I’m blind. He just shows the card at the end, and I never know what it says,” the post read, according to TV Insider.
Other viewers pointed out that this has never been part of the show.
“If you watch the [former host] Pat Sajak episodes, he never read the card either. He just refers to it as ‘this.’ I wonder if this is a specific rule they imposed on the host for a particular reason,” one person theorized in the comments. “The announcer gives the grand total. You gotta do some math and have a good memory to know what they just won,” another noted. “I thought someone here said the announcer is supposed to say it, not Ryan,” a different follower added.
While we don’t know whether this Reddit thread will impact how Ryan hosts, we do know the show is already teasing some fun things for season 44.
“Expeditions Week is coming back around, and we've got a BRAND NEW prize trip from @natgeoexpeditions and @gadventures we're giving away. 👀,” an Instagram post from August 11 noted. “Swipe for a sneak peek at the WILD things we're cooking up! 😉.”
We’ll have to tune in to see what happens!
