It’s time to head south, 9-1-1: Nashville fans.
The latest spinoff in the 9-1-1 franchise premiered on ABC in October 2025, introducing viewers to the first responders at Station 113. The crew tackles fires, collapses, and more, and the drama doesn’t end when the emergencies do.
The Chris O’Donnell-led series, which also stars Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and more, was a hit with viewers. So when the show got renewed for season 2, fans immediately wondered when new episodes would air. Now we have an answer: 9-1-1: Nashville season 2 will premiere on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
“We're heading back to Music City. 🚨,” the caption read on Instagram on July 27. “New season of #911Nashville premieres Thursday, October 15 on ABC and stream on Hulu.”
Fans were all too ready for the update.
“YAY!!!! Can’t wait to get the 911nashville fam back on my screen 🥹🥹,” one person wrote in the comments. “Don’t bother me on October 15th, I AM SAT,” another warned. “Omg omg im sooo readyyy,” a different follower added.
The new season will air the same day as 9-1-1 season 10.
Season 1 ended with Blythe Hart (played by Jessica) and Dixie Bennings (played by LeAnn) facing off over Don (played by Chris), leaving viewers with a major cliffhanger. Showrunner Rashad Raisani told TV Insider that season 2 will reveal what happens next.
“We will pay it off in Season 2, but we may make the audience wonder a little bit for a while about exactly what happened, how injured everybody was, and what happened after,” he shared in May 2026. “So, we’ll do a very small time jump in Season 2, but allow people to kind of wonder and then answer the question about what happened.”
Intriguing!
