Peter Krause will star in the new drama Line of Fire, premiering September 21 on NBC.
Peter’s former 9-1-1 co-star Ryan Guzman spoke out after a sneak preview of Line of Fire dropped on Instagram.
Peter appeared on 9-1-1 for eight seasons before leaving the show in early 2025.
Peter Krause is gearing up for a brand-new show—and his former 9-1-1 co-star is speaking out about it.
On September 21, fans will get to see the actor take on the role of Secret Service agent Mike Hollingsworth in the series premiere of Line of Fire on NBC. This is the first role Peter has taken since leaving 9-1-1 in early 2025.
Recently, his 9-1-1 co-star Ryan Guzman (who plays Eddie Diaz) spoke out after seeing a preview for Line of Fire on Instagram. He took to the comments of an Entertainment Weekly cover story and shared a light joke about Peter’s switch from firefighting in 9-1-1 to law enforcement in Line of Fire.
“Always knew he was a cop deep down inside ... ,” Ryan wrote on September 8.
Just like Ryan, fans had a lot to say about Peter’s new role.
“CANNOT WAIT! Peter Krause for the WIN!!! 👏,” one person wrote. “🔥🔥🔥🔥yassss Peter back on my TV,” another agreed. “Peter Krause stays dominating network television and we LOVE to see it 🔥🔥,” a different follower added.
Line of Fire follows the Hollingsworth family, with every member working in various government agencies. Mike works for the Secret Service, while his wife (played by Hope Davis) and kids (played by Kat Cunning, Tommy O’Brien, and Taylor Bloom) work as U.S. Marshals, FBI and Secret Service agents, and at the Department of Justice.
“This is something new in the world of storytelling,” Peter said in a sneak preview of Line of Fire shared with Good Housekeeping in early September. “There’s action and thrills, family drama—it’s something that I don’t think viewers have seen before.”
We can’t wait to see what Peter’s other 9-1-1 castmates think about his new gig!
