This story contains spoilers from When Calls the Heart season 13.

When Calls the Heart has been off the air since season 13 wrapped up in March—and we can’t stop thinking about our favorite characters in Hope Valley!

Between celebrating Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) and Nathan Grant’s (Kevin McGarry) engagement, Lucas (Chris McNally) finally kissing Edie Martell (Miranda MacDougall), and Abigail Stanton’s (Lori Loughlin) shocking appearance in the final moments of the season, there were so many twists and turns.

Given how much there is to explore when When Calls the Heart returns for season 14, fans are likely wondering when they will get new episodes. We found some information you might want to know.

Will there be a new season of When Calls the Heart in 2026?

Unfortunately, When Calls the Heart will not return with new episodes in 2026.

But for those worried, fear not! Hallmark already teased when fans can expect the new season, with the show’s social team revealing on Instagram that When Calls the Heart season 14 will air sometime in early 2027.

“2027 can't come soon enough, #Hearties! 💛,” the caption read back in March. “There's so much in store for the next season of When Calls the Heart. What are you most looking forward to?”

At the time, fans had a lot of thoughts about that news.

“A year is a long time to wait ... ,” one person lamented in the comments. “I don't want to wait that long; that's a whole year. Can we divide it up and have two seasons?” another penned. “Next year? That’s a long wait for my favorite show! Can we get a Christmas special? 😭,” a different follower begged.

At least we have some clues about what to expect. For one, Lori will reprise her role as Abigail after almost a decade, and we know that the show will explore Elizabeth and Nathan’s romance in its next phase. Add to that Lucas choosing to step down as governor and Melissa Gilbert not reprising her role as Georgie McGill, and we will have a lot to talk about when the show returns.

But perhaps the biggest news is that When Calls the Heart is officially filming season 14—and the show posted about it on Instagram.

“It’s finally here, #Hearties!” the caption read on August 4. “Day one of filming for When Calls the Heart season fourteen! Drop your well wishes for the cast and crew in the comments below. 🎉🎉🎉.”
