Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings opened up about who he thinks could replace him on the hit quiz show in a new Instagram video.
Fans were immediately concerned about whether Ken plans to leave the show any time soon.
Ken Jennings is a staple on Jeopardy! ... but his latest Instagram has fans concerned about his future on TV.
In a behind-the-scenes video posted on Instagram on October 18, an audience member asked Ken who he thought could replace him as the host of Jeopardy!—and Ken gave two very different answers.
“Well, you know who has a lot of Jeopardy! hosting experience is [Survivor host] Jeff Probst, who hosted Rock & Roll Jeopardy! back before he was Jeff Probst,” he said in the clip, referencing the obscure spinoff that aired on VH1 from 1998 to 2001. “I mean, he now hosts three seasons of Survivor a year, I think, so ... the guy is probably busy.”
Ken also had another suggestion, should Jeff not have any time to host Jeopardy! in the future.
“Also [RuPaul’s Drag Race star] RuPaul, I think, would be pretty good,” he added.
While fans were receptive to Ken’s choices, they told him they’re not ready for a switch-up just yet.
“Ken, Irreplaceable, final answer,” one person wrote in the comments. “Ken, it was hard enough to say goodbye to Alex. I don't want to imagine anyone else stepping into your shoes anytime soon. You and Jeps are a consistency, our rock. Keep being you,” another agreed. “Ken is perfect as a host and a great person,” a different follower added.
Thankfully, fans don’t need to worry just yet. But if the day comes, we know who to call!
