When it comes to fashion, I'd like to think I've seen everything. Until another trend comes along and catches me off guard, like ballerina sneakers - the ballet trainer hybrid that genuinely surprised me at first, but turned into one of my favourite fashion Frankenstien's to date.
This season, however, it's a colour combination that has controversially dominated the fashion discussion, and one I was genuinely taken a back by: blue and brown. Yes, two colours you never thought would work together have stylishly become united, and I have to say, it genuinely works together, and looks very good.
Case in point - the Chifon Printed Midaxi Column Dress from M&S. Incredibly elevated, the frock features the colour merger of spring, in a clever, artful print, marrying shades of chocolate brown and light blue effortlessly.
Crafted in a whimsical, draping fabric, the dress comes in chiffon, and features flattering at the waist for a nipped touch. The small details are just as brilliant too, with front keyhole detailing highlighting the unique craftsmanship that the high street hero is known for.
Though it may seem intimidating at first when it comes to styling this swishy frock, it's far easier than expected - and it'll go with plenty of pieces you already own. Think classic knee high boots, and for extra style points, pair with a suede bomber jacket in a similar brown shade.
One the weather warms up, wear the dress for more polished occasions with a pair of stylish sling back kitten heels - preferably with a chic pointed toe.
