This is a curveball, and if you love to dress in a decorative, rather than a plain style, it’s a welcome one. While the catwalks in Milan and Paris are currently showing extremely pretty colours and a riot of feminine prints for spring 2027, this trend for decorative prettiness is already ready to buy.
And you can dive into this trend today via the most popular clothing of all time: jeans.
Zara, fresh from today’s launch of their quite stunning collaboration with John Galliano, also released a capsule range of floral jeans in 100% cotton.
I spotted them today at the store (on my way in to ooh-and-aah over the Galliano range) and was drawn to them like a moth to a flame.
The range comes in three prints, and three cuts. The first is in a floral print which gives Old Master energy, but in pair of straight-leg five pocket jeans. They can be worn with suede boots, and a knit that picks up the muted sage, oatmeal and faded terracotta palette from the jeans.
The second is a luxurious looking inky botanical floral in olive and black that are cut loose and will look excellently chic with an affordable cashmere knit in olive or beige, and loafers or ankle boots.
The third is my favourite – pale blue barrel cut jeans decorated with a dotted blue pinstripe and scattered with plentiful sprigs of pink flowers. These jeans are the kind of pretty which would brighten up not just your day but also raise a smile to anyone who lays eyes on them.

The best thing about these though is the styling possibilities. The sprigs are subtle enough to allow an even more decorative jacket to be worn on top. You can style this with a tapestry floral, or a frogged military style jacket and take the decorative brief to the max, and look perfectly in tune with fashion now. But more than that, it will max out your confidence too.
