Sainsbury’s latest drop looks more expensive than it is - led by a skirt you’ll wear beyond summer, from £12
You'll buy these pieces now and wear them forever.

We're currently knee deep in summer staple shopping, but I don't know about you, my biggest worry is spending a lot of money on pieces that won't see me through the rest of the year. My biggest pet peeve is buying clothes for one season, only for them to remain stored at the back of my cupboard for the other nine months of the year.
The solution, however, is simple. Buy clothes that you can wear now, and then forever (or at least until they start to fall apart at the seams). It sounds pretty straightforward, but sometimes it's hard to know which pieces work as all-rounders, or at least which ones can be worn trans-seasonally. Some things may not work year round (think coats or thin linen shorts), but if they can work for at least two out of the four seasons, I think you've struck gold. Or at least silver.
While browsing the online market for some great pieces that will work for the summer and beyond, I was drawn to see what the high street had in store. What I didn't expect, however, was a conveyor belt of brilliant pieces from Sainsbury's own brand, Tu. They have a rather excellent tartan midi skirt that will work wonders in the heat when paired with a simple white tee, but will also work just as well as we welcome autumn. Yes, it sounds ridiculous to start saying the A word, but it's worth thinking ahead, especially at the speed this year is moving.
