Easter is officially in less than 40 days and while some people might be giving up chocolate or sweets for lent, we are making it our mission to find the most exciting Easter food launches of the year. This is where Tesco's Caramelised Biscuit Filled Hot Cross Bun (£3.50 for 4) comes into play. If you aren't immediately grabbed by its name, let us remind you that Biscoff is a caramelised biscuit and this is what inspired the flavour! Guys, it's a Biscoff-filled hot cross bun! Our favourite sweet spread has been stuffed into our favourite seasonal bake and we couldn't be happier about it.

It's a classically spiced hot cross bun dough, but the middle is filled with a creamy caramelised biscuit flavoured centre and topped with caramelised biscuit crumbs. It sounds sweet, fruity, gently spiced and exceptionally nice. We cannot wait to pick up a pack for ourselves.

That's not the only exciting hot cross bun news from Tesco though, they've also announced the launch of a very intriguing Marbled Neapolitan Hot Cross Buns (£2 for 4) which looks so pretty with its pink, brown and beige colours running through out. It's described as a delicately sweetened pink and white swirled dough which has been proved until it reaches the perfect rise. They then add milk chocolate chips and strawberry flavoured jelly fruit pieces for an Easter twist on a nostalgic classic. This sounds right up my street, not going to lie and it's going to be very tough to decided which pack to pick up first.

Tesco are also offering a discount on both of these delicious sounding hot cross buns if you use your Tesco Clubcard, with a saving of 50p per pack! One of our favourite desserts ever is splitting a hot cross bun in half, toasting them and stuffing the middle with ice cream. It makes such a fun sweet treat if you're entertaining over the Easter long weekend and we can totally imagine both of these pairing perfectly with some homemade vanilla ice cream!
