Is it just us, or has the price of a standard bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs become slightly eye-watering this year? We’ve officially had enough of the chocolate price shock, so we did what any responsible Mini Egg addict lover would do. We compared prices across the major supermarkets to find the cheapest bag in the UK right now.

Our quest focused on the classic 74g bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs. No orange twists, no dupe versions, just the original speckled favourite. We checked prices at Asda, Co-op, Iceland, Morrisons, Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose. (You’ll notice Aldi, Lidl and M&S aren’t included - that’s because they don’t currently offer online grocery shopping).

As things stand, Tesco is selling the cheapest bag, but there’s a catch. You’ll need a Clubcard. With the loyalty card, a bag costs £1.45, with the offer running until 6 April, even after the long Easter weekend. Without a Clubcard, it jumps up to £2, which is roughly the standard price across most supermarkets.

Not keen on adding another loyalty card to your already overstuffed wallet? The next cheapest option is Asda at £1.74. It’s 29p more than Tesco’s Clubcard deal, but you won’t need to sign up for anything to get it.

We also turned our attention to the serious purchase: the 1kg bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs. This is the bag you buy 'to last until Easter' and then mysteriously demolish within days. Currently, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose are all selling the 1kg bag for £16, which is £1 cheaper than Morrisons and Ocado. The price difference isn’t huge for the larger size, so you don’t need to dash across town to save pennies.

That said, a quick glance at last year’s pricing shows Tesco has previously dropped the 1kg bag as low as £14. So if you’re planning to stock up, our advice is simple: keep an eye on Tesco and consider this your public service announcement for Easter 2026. Happy Mini Egg hunting everyone.
