We’re feeling like proper detectives over here, because we spotted something on the M&S food page that we’re not entirely sure we were supposed to see just yet. Two brand-new launches quietly appeared on the website last night and, naturally, we had to share.
M&S is clearly on a mission to upgrade ice cream season, because they are launching two exciting new ice cream toppers, and both of these new sauces are designed to turn a simple scoop into something seriously indulgent.
First up is the Cracked Shell Mint Choc Sauce, a nostalgic nod to those retro toppings we all grew up loving. It’s described as a rich chocolate and mint sauce that hardens when drizzled over ice cream, creating that signature snap with every bite. If you remember cracked shell sauces from back in the day, you’ll know exactly how satisfying that is - and we can’t wait to bring it back into rotation when the weather warms up.
Then there’s the Deliciously S’more-ish Ice Cream Sauce, which might be one of the most intriguing launches we’ve seen in a while. Inspired by the classic campfire treat, it’s a chocolatey marshmallow sauce packed with crunchy biscuit pieces. We’re picturing something soft, pillowy and gooey, with little bursts of crunchy biscuit throughout. It sounds like the kind of topping you’d keep going back for (and maybe just eat straight from the spoon??).
As these have only just appeared online, we’re expecting them to land in stores very soon. That said, M&S does love a gentle rollout, so keep your eyes peeled on your next shop. And as if that wasn’t enough, they’ve also just launched a range of double-dipped chocolate-covered frozen fruit snacks that people are already obsessed with.
