Katherine Turner, Director of Product Development at M&S Food, has become the unexpected social media influencer we didn't know we needed, racking up more than 42,000 followers and counting.
Having worked at M&S for an impressive 30 years, she knows exactly what makes a standout food product. The first item she launched, back in the day, was Teletubby Toast – yes, really. Petition to bring that back, anyone?
In her current role, Katherine is responsible for tracking food trends from around the world. Now, she's taking us along for the ride, giving us sneak peeks inside the culinary centre, test kitchens and quality control meetings where the M&S magic happens, while also sharing some of the hidden gems lining Foodhall shelves.
So when Katherine recommends a new launch, we're inclined to take notice.
Her latest obsession? High Protein Trifle Overnight Oats.
In a recent video, Katherine was quick to spotlight the new launch, saying: "Trifle overnight oats – one of my favourites. Overnight oats with chia seeds so it's really good for protein, and then a custard-style yoghurt and raspberry compote. I love this."
With 14g of protein per pot, it's a seriously satisfying breakfast that tastes more like dessert. Think layers of creamy vanilla overnight oats, fruity raspberry compote and custard-style yoghurt delivering all the appeal of a classic trifle, but in a convenient grab-and-go format. If Katherine is giving us permission to scoff trifle on our daily commute, who are we to argue?
Available in M&S Foodhalls now for £2.75, the limited-edition launch may not be around for long. Needless to say, we'll be stocking up while we can.
It joins M&S’s growing range of protein-packed overnight oats, which also includes Creamy Banana Pudding Overnight Oats, Salted Caramel Overnight Oats, and Apple Crumble Overnight Oats.
