M &S has a knack for turning the simplest foods into something people suddenly can’t stop talking about, and the brands latest launch might be one of the simplest, but effective yet. The brand-new Shake-A-Cucumber pots are here and are a grab-and-go snack that’s designed to be shaken up before eating for maximum flavour. If you're not feeling too excited over sliced cucumbers, they are available in two delicious sounding flavours - so they aren't your usual boring carrot and hummus snack.
There is The Big Dill Shake-A-Cucumber and Feeling Spicy Shake-A-Cucumber. Each pot costs £2.90 for 185g (about half a crunchy cucumber in total) and is a pot filled with super thinly sliced cucumber rings, and served alongside a separate seasoning mix. Simply open up the seasoning mix, pour on top of the cucumbers, shake the pot, coat the cucumber and you’ve got a fresh, flavour-packed snack ready to eat in seconds.
The Big Dill version is the one to go for if you're pickle obsessed. Coat the cucumber in the punchy dill seasoning that gives it that familiar tangy, deli-style flavour. Meanwhile, Feeling Spicy brings a bit more heat, adding a spicy kick to the refreshing cucumber crunch.
This comes after a huge wave of people on social media have been obsessed with jazzing up their cucumbers with everything from chilli crisp and soy sauce to ranch seasoning and extra pickles, so M&S has essentially done the hard work for us. And when the weather is warm and sunny again, and you're not in the mood for crisps or chocolate, a crunchy, chilled cucumber snack definitely is the way to go.
The pots are only available for a limited time, so if you're curious, you might want to add one to your next M&S lunch run. We have a feeling these are going to be one of those products people either absolutely love or just don't get...
