M &S are back with another brand-new biscuit, and this time it's a mini biccie that's more chocolate than biscuit. We're talking about an 80:20 chocolate-to-biscuit ratio here, and I'm afraid it's completely ruined all other chocolate biscuits for me.
The Outrageously Chocolatey Milk Chocolate Mocha Mini Biscuits are the latest addition to M&S's much-loved biscuit range, and they come in a 200g pack for £3.45. Yes, they're a little on the pricey side, but after one bite, I could completely understand why.
Each mini biscuit starts with a beautifully crumbly, melt-in-the-mouth shortcake base with a subtle mocha flavour, before being coated in an incredibly generous layer of smooth milk chocolate. The coffee flavour isn't overpowering either. Instead, it sits quietly in the background, adding a rich roasted note that balances the sweetness of the chocolate beautifully.
I shamelessly worked my way through far more of the packet than I'd intended because they're genuinely impossible to stop eating. Their mini size probably doesn't help either. But here's my biggest tip: keep them in the fridge.
The chocolate firms up just enough to give a really satisfying snap, while the biscuit somehow stays beautifully tender and crumbly. I also found the colder temperature seemed to bring out the mocha flavour a little more, making the coffee notes slightly more pronounced against the creamy milk chocolate.
It's been a while since I've fallen this hard for a new M&S launch, but these have genuinely stolen my heart. If you're a fan of coffee and chocolate together, I'd recommend grabbing a pack before everyone else catches on.
