If you've ever wished that McDonald's iconic hash browns could make an appearance beyond breakfast, your dreams are about to come true.

Launching in the UK next week, the Big Rösti takes one of McDonald's most iconic morning menu items and gives it a lunchtime makeover, tucking a crispy potato rösti inside a beef burger for what might just be the ultimate food combo of the season.

This new burger actually originally comes from McDonald's Germany but arrives in the UK as part of their returning World Menu Heist promotion, which brings some of its most popular international menu items to the UK for a limited time.

Available from 22 September, the Big Rösti layers a 100% British and Irish beef patty with a crispy potato rösti, streaky bacon, cheese, creamy baconnaise and a rich cheese sauce, all served in a glazed sesame seed bun. It's essentially what would happen if a Big Mac and McDonald's famous Hash Brown had a very indulgent baby.

We are fully on board with the idea of giving the humble hash brown a promotion. They're obviously one of the best bits of the McDonald's breakfast menu, so seeing that same crispy potato crunch finding a new home inside a burger feels like a surprisingly fun twist.

The Big Rösti will cost £6.99 on its own or £8.99 as a medium meal, but it won't be around forever. It's joined by a handful of other worldwide favourites including Canada's maple & cheddar chicken burger, paprika Mcshaker Fries from the Netherlands and the return of the Mac & cheese triangles.

If you're someone who always adds a hash brown to your breakfast order, we'd say this is one to put on your must-try list, so keep an eye out for it next week!
