We recently got a sneak peek at Sainsbury’s festive line-up, and there’s one product that’s yet to launch that we’re very excited about.
Drum roll, please: introducing Sainsbury’s first-ever mince pie advent calendar. We told you it was good.
The Taste the Difference Mini Mince Pie Advent Calendar costs just £20 – a bargain, if you ask us – and contains a surprise seasonal treat behind each door.
Even better, there are three different flavours to discover: Viennese Whirl, All Butter and Brandy, and a boozy Port & Brown Butter version.
The Viennese Whirl flavour sounds particularly tempting with a very pretty topping, while the Brandy, Port & Brown Butter variety offers something a little richer and more indulgent. There’s also the classic All Butter option for the traditionalists out there.
Sadly, you’ll have to wait until 1 November to nab yours, so set your alarm now.

And while mince pie advent calendars are still something of a rarity, Sainsbury’s isn’t the first retailer to try one. As far as we’ve seen, the only other mince pie advent calendar was previously sold by Selfridges, where it cost £40. However, there’s no news yet on whether it will be returning for 2026.
That makes Sainsbury’s version half the price – and a very tempting option for mince pie super fans.
The calendar is part of Sainsbury’s wider Christmas food and drink line-up, which includes more than 330 new products this year.
We’ll be sharing more spoilers from the rest of the range over the coming weeks, but we didn’t want you to sleep on the mince pie advent calendar.
The Taste the Difference Mini Mince Pie Advent Calendar costs £20 and will be available at Sainsbury’s from 1 November.
