M&S is reaching into its archives again – and this one may take you back. The Big Six is returning more than 70 years after it first appeared on shelves, with its retro St Michael-inspired yellow and red packaging and a new lineup of familiar favourites.
The original box launched in the 1950s, but this isn’t an exact replica. M&S has filled the 400g assortment with six biscuits from its current range, including chocolatey treats, sandwich creams and a cookie.
What’s inside the Big Six Assortment?
The new 2026 lineup includes:
- Milk Chocolate Fudge Creams
- Milk Chocolate Sandwich Fingers
- Jam Sandwich Creams
- Outrageously Chocolatey Marbled Whirls
- All Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies
- Outrageously Chocolatey Milk Chocolate Shortcakes
M&S describes this as a selection of six customer favourites, all in one carton. That’s one way to fill the biscuit tin!
If you’re a Jammie Dodger fan, the Jam Sandwich Creams should be right up your street. There’s plenty here for chocolate fans, too, from the fudge-filled creams to the chocolate-coated shortcakes. The marbled whirls add a little variety, while the all-butter cookies bring a familiar chocolate chunk hit. It’s a mix of old-school biscuit favourites and M&S’s own chocolatey twists.
It’s not the first time M&S has brought back a blast from the past. Earlier this year, it revived four chocolate bars from the 1980s: Jet, Sparks, Now! and Coconut Grove. They returned in their original St Michael wrappers, with flavours that might remind you of Snickers, Mars, Twix and Bounty.

The Big Six follows a similar nostalgia trip, bringing back the look of a heritage favourite while filling it with the biscuits we love today.
The £5 assortment arrives in M&S stores on 30 September but is already available on Ocado.
