If you’re planning to watch The Traitors tonight (that’ll be all of us, then), dinner needs to be sorted long before Claudia’s fringe first makes an appearance. These three M&S meal ideas all take 20 minutes or less to cook, so there’s no need to choose between a proper dinner and making it to the sofa on time.
The premise is simple, take three simple ingredients or products that have already been given a helping hand – think pre-marinated meat or prepared salads – and turn them into a proper dinner you can’t wait to eat.
Not a ready meal exactly, but not quite cooking from scratch, it’s the perfect midweek meal solution. We’re calling it M&S Meal Maths.
Chicken fajitas
Ready in: 15 minutes
Speedy sizzling fajitas without the faff. All you need is M&S British Fajita-Style Chicken Mini Fillets, served in seeded tortilla wraps with our favourite Cheesy Nacho Salad on the side. It’s speedy, colourful and a lot more exciting than eating crisps over the kitchen counter during the opening credits.
Prawn stir-fry
Ready in: 10 minutes
For the quickest option, pair Honduran King Prawns with Piri Piri Butter with Chilli & Coriander Noodles and Sweet & Sour Sauce. Ten minutes from kitchen to couch should leave plenty of time to decide who’s acting suspiciously.
Salmon pasta
Ready in: 19 minutes
For something a little more comforting, cook Scottish Salmon Parcels with fusilli and stir through Tomato & Basil Fresh Pasta Sauce. It’s on the table in 19 minutes – just in time to get settled before the finger-pointing begins.
Now all that’s left is to pick your dinner, grab a plate and try not to shout your theories at the telly.
