ITV2 has finally revealed when its eagerly anticipated Supermarket Sweep reboot will air in the UK – and it's sooner than you might think.
Host Rylan Clark-Neal took to the broadcaster's Twitter account to reveal when the show will premiere, explaining in a video: "I'm so excited to tell you it is time to go wild in the aisles once more because Supermarket Sweep is starting Monday 9th September at 8pm."
Around the same time as the announcement, the former Celebrity Big Brother winner also unveiled a first-look trailer for the show on his own account.
If the footage is anything to go by, fans of the cult daytime series needn't worry about it straying too far from the original. It looks like all of the best aspects of the series have made it into the modern take, from contestants whizzing around on trolleys and wearing brightly-coloured sweatshirts, to gathering up inflatables.
Talking about his new presenting gig back in July, Rylan said in a statement: "It’s a dream come true to step inside this very special supermarket and host one of the most iconic series in television history.
"I am beside myself with excitement and will be going wilder in the aisles than ever before. Fill up your trolley, grab your bag for life and let’s go shopping!"

Supermarket Sweep was originally hosted by the late Dale Winton and ran between 1993 and 2001, before being revived briefly in 2007. The reboot will feature a tribute to the star, who passed away last year.
Supermarket Sweep will debut on ITV2 on September 9 at 8pm.
