Retired middle distance runner Andy Grant was the first star to be eliminated from Celebrity Masterchef 2019 last night, after turning in an overcooked lamb dish with red wine sauce.
Taking to Twitter after the episode, Andy joked he wasn't "saucy enough" for judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace, but said he was happy he "gave it a go and jumped outside my comfort zone".
Andy went up against fellow stars Dame Zandra Rhodes, Oti Mabuse, Neil "Razor" Ruddock and Joey Essex in last night's episode. Each celeb had to make their own sausages from scratch and were put to work in real restaurants, before cooking up their favourite recipes for the judges.
Andy said he was "absolutely gutted" to be sent home from the BBC cooking show.
"My competitive juices were just starting to get going," he revealed, but said Celebrity Masterchef had been a "great experience".
Andy wasn't the only one facing the heat on last night's episode. Former TOWIE star Joey Essex had fans in stitches after calling a Michelin star a "Michigan scar", and confessing he didn't know the difference between thyme and dill in the sausage making challenge.
Celebrity Masterchef continues Wednesday 8pm on BBC One.
