Last weekend's Strictly Come Dancing was peppered with all kinds of weird moments. Take Tess Daly's cross-studio run, for example.

Well, there was another moment (or 10) that viewers didn't spot at the time.

Yes, thanks to Strictly Come Dancing's official Twitter account, the series has let fans in on another intriguing live show secret, and it's all to do with the microphones worn by the professional dancers and their partners during their performances.

In a clip that we can only hope becomes a regular feature, Strictly shared the "on-microphone" moments of Saturday's live show, including some rather bizarre comments by Neil Jones in particular.

During his Cha Cha with Alex Scott, Neil can be heard saying what sounded like "there's my favourite leg" and "beans on toast", among other nonsensical phrases. That's even with context.

Fans loved hearing the intimate details of Alex and Neil's dance, with one saying they were "laughing so much". "Neil are you okay?", another joked.

We'll be waiting with bated breath to see how Alex's beloved leg gets on when she and Neil dance the Rumba to Moana track 'How Far I'll Go' for Movie Week this Saturday.

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 continues on Saturday (October 5) at 7.10pm on BBC One.
