Doctor Who's Billie Piper discusses potential return

Doctor Who favourite Billie Piper would reprise her character Rose Tyler under the 'right circumstances'.

Companion to both Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant's Time Lords, the actress portrayed Rose between 2005 and 2013 before bowing out of the iconic BBC sci-fi seemingly for good.

However, in a Cameo clip captured on Twitter, she addressed the possibility of once again stepping inside the TARDIS for an adventure across time and space.

"Would I ever go back? I think if the circumstances and the story were right. I feel like I've had enough time away from it to really, really want back in on it," commented Piper.

"I feel like my kids are at a good age and may appreciate that too, which is often my incentive to do anything."

Since departing Doctor Who, the star has accumulated quite the credit list, including playing Penny Dreadful's Brona Croft, Rare Beasts' Mandy and I Hate Suzie's Suzie Pickles.

Meanwhile, it was only five months ago that she explained why a return to the Whoniverse wasn't on her mind: "It's the face of a family show and that's a lot of responsibility that I'm not comfortable with.

"It's a great role, but you're away from your kids for so long. My experience was that you were in Wales for nine months solid."

Doctor Who airs on BBC One in the UK. In the US, the show airs on BBC America, with series 1-12 available on HBO Max. Series 13 is due to premiere later this year.
