The six women forge a bond over their expanding waistbands and swollen feet

By Kat Wales

Fat Friends and The Syndicate award-winning writer Kay Mellor is back with another umissable BBC drama.

In The Club charts the journey of six pregnant women, from a range of backgrounds and situations, who meet at a local antenatal class.

The enthralling and hilarious six-parter, set in Leeds, follows a business woman who is pregnant with her young artist lover; a lesbian couple with a deceitful sperm donor and a sixteen-year-old school girl who is hiding her pregnancy from everybody.

The six women forge a bond over their expanding waistbands and swollen feet and as the women grow bigger, so does the drama!

The stellar line-up includes Jill Halfpenny, Hermione Norris, Will Mellor, Christine Bottomley and newcomer Hannah Midgley.
