And just like that… the Secret Traitor was revealed! The Traitors’ fourth episode brought with it more surprises than even we saw coming, including, most importantly, the fact that Fiona has been the Secret Traitor all along. And while the 62-year-old local government officer seemed, well, rather confident that she’ll make it all the way, we’ve identified a fatal error (a few of them, in fact) that means her future on the show is not quite so certain.

“Traitors are traitors” she told the camera after meeting her fellow Traitors Rachel and Stephen. Oh, she’s devious! While three series have proved just how important it is to keep your fellow Traitors on side, Fiona seems to be having none of it. And unfortunately for her, her fellow Traitors are as aware of it as anyone. Here’s why she made a catalogue of mistakes in the latest episode.

She’s let it go to her head already!

When Fiona finally revealed herself to her fellow Traitors in the turret, she wasn’t exactly humble. Far from it, in fact. “I was wonderful, wasn’t I? Hollywood is beckoning, I can feel it”, she told Rachel and Stephen, before adding: “Basically, I’ve done your job for you for the last few nights.” And her fellow Traitors couldn’t exactly hide their surprise at her confidence. “Don’t let it go to your head”, said Rachel, while Stephen laughed (through slightly gritted teeth): “Oh, you’re something else”.

She’s outed herself as a “real” Traitor

If you were paying attention to the latest episode you might have noticed that Fiona’s fellow Traitors have clocked on to the fact that she’s devious. Very devious. “Forget my individual power, let’s share it between us. It just requires trust.” she told the camera after revealing her true identity. So far, so nice. But then she added with a laugh: “However, this is a game of manipulation and Traitors are Traitors,” she said with a laugh. And her confidence? Well, it didn’t wane. “I’m very good, according to my son and my husband, at flowering stories up,” she said. “I quite like white lies and I do want to win, so I think I’m going to do really well here.”

She took it easy in the mission

Then came the mission, which saw each of contestants who were "on trial" put in cages. Each of the “safe” contestants could choose which of those people on trial they could compete to save. The task? To find a collection of animal heads and stack them on top of each other. “It was a lovely, simple task. So I kind of took my time,” said Fiona as she searched for the heads seemingly half-heartedly in a not-so-successful bid to save Reece. Good for you, Fiona, but isn’t this a game? And aren’t you supposed to look like you want to save your “fellow Faithful”? As cages were opening, freeing contestants one by one, Reece observed, “Cages are getting opened quite quickly and I haven’t even seen Fiona.”

She’s misjudged Rachel

During said task, Fiona's fellow Traitor Rachel chose to try and save Amanda. A good decision, it seemed, but Fiona was bemused. “It was a strange one to pick Amanda rather than Stephen. I don’t quite know how Amanda came into the equation”. Surely, Fiona should have known that Amanda wouldn't be silly enough to choose Stephen, as if Stephen is outed as a Traitor, the Faithful will look back at who tried to protect him. Fiona appeared to have hugely underestimated Rachel...

And she's already turning on her (and vice versa!)

When sitting eating with a group of Faithful, James, Ellie and Adam, Rachel’s name came up as someone who’s “pushing the narrative”. Fiona told the camera after: “I think Rachel is very influential with a select few people. I sense that Rachel is playing her own game and I’m ready for that. So the jury’s out with me at the moment. She’s got a lot to prove to me." She then went on to share that conversation with Rachel and Amanda, much to Rachel’s annoyance. “[Fiona's] so unpredictable and I’m watching her.” Oh dear…
