That’s the situation Jenna Coleman’s character, Liv, finds herself in in Prime Video’s addictive mystery series, Wilderness. Two years on from its initial release, it’s now available to binge in full on the streamer – and when we say it’s as good as a Harlan Coben thriller, we mean it.
The twisted love story starts gently: Liv and her husband Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) embark on their dream road trip across the US, exploring America’s national parks. So far, so blissful. But when Liv learns that Will has been having a long-term affair, she wants revenge – and she’ll stop at nothing until she gets it.

What is Wilderness about?
Based on B.E. Jones’ novel of the same name, the six-part series first aired on Prime Video in 2023 and is a twisted love story, where a supposedly “happily-ever-after” life quickly turns into a living nightmare. At the centre of it is British couple Liv (Jenna Coleman) and Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) who seem to have it all: a rock-solid marriage and a glamorous new life in New York thousands of miles from their provincial hometown. They’ve got their whole lives ahead of them – so what could go wrong? A lot, actually.
When Liv learns about Will’s affair, her world comes crashing down – but her heartbreak is quickly followed by a quest for revenge. And when Will suggests they take a trip around America’s epic National Parks to give their relationship a fresh start, she knows just the place. And you know what they say, revenge is a dish best served cold…

Is Wilderness any good?
Yes – it really is as good as Harlan Coben thriller, if not better. It’s the least predictable series we’ve seen in a long time and if you love a twist, there are plenty of them in Wilderness. Fans have praised Jenna Coleman’s flawless performance and said the series is “atmospheric”, “very enjoyable” and “worth watching”.
