The Princess of Wales never puts a toe wrong when it comes to dressing for the occasion, but even she may have outdone herself with her latest look. In the hot summer months, dressing for any occasion can seem impossible. Finding something comfortable, cooling and chic is never easy, but the midi dress the Princess wore for her latest engagement ticks all the boxes.

This week, the Princess stepped out in Wimbledon white (it is the season, after all), with a button-up dress featuring a floaty, A-line skirt and puff sleeves. For her 'heatwave midi', Kate turned to a favourite royal designer, Suzannah London, wearing the 'White Flippy Wiggle Dress', which is also available in green. If you want to emulate the Princess of Wales exactly, the dress is still available to buy online, but will set you back a cool £2,790. Luckily, we've found lots of similar options for a fraction of the price.

This week, the Princess was visiting Evelina London Children’s Hospital 'to see how specialist expertise, compassionate care and family-centred support are helping children and their loved ones through some of life’s most challenging moments,' she wrote on instagram.

While there, she met a number of young patients including 10-year-old Ejran, who had written a poem about the film Shrek. The Princess told him that her children were also fans of the movies, revealing, 'my kiddies love Shrek,' and that they were fans of ‘all the songs and the dancing.' Kate was impressed with Erjan's poem and told him, 'maybe next time you can take a copy and send it to me and I can write back to you. Would that be fun?’

In her post, Kate explained that she'd learned about a range of features during her visit, from an 'innovative cardiac services to plans for a new children’s hospital and future cancer centre'. She also said it had been 'inspiring to meet the dedicated teams, patients and families helping shape the next generation of children’s healthcare.'
