Last week, Alison Hammond made us all worry when she was unexpectedly taken off-air while clutching her chest. It was later revealed that the TV presenter had been taken to hospital for a heart check-up, where doctors confirmed she had experienced a panic attack. This morning, one week on, Alison returned to our screens. And boy, were we all happy to see her.
'I couldn't catch my breath and I genuinely thought I was having a heart attack,' shared Alison on today's episode of This Morning. 'I'm so glad I'm here. I feel so grateful. I feel so thankful to God, to everything in life. It felt like a heart attack. It just was like a wave, something which I've now found out is adrenaline. I couldn't catch my breath.'
Alison shared that the incident had made her do a personal check-in with her wellbeing. 'It's made me look at life so much differently,' she said. 'I'm taking stock, looking after my health, I'm drinking a lot of water.'
Once we were all caught up, Alison concluded her segment with: 'I'm back, babes! Keep rolling.' Iconic.
