The Princess of Wales is be renowned for her sense of style, and she frequently extends her clothing choices beyond her own look to co-ordinate with her only daughter, Princess Charlotte. Rather than matching identically, Kate favours dressing Princess Charlotte in minature versions of her own looks, with similar styles and colours to look seamlessly and stylishly co-ordinated for public events. This is especially the case on formal family occasions, such as Christmas Day, Easter and Trooping the Colour.
The family made their awaited return to this year's Easter Sunday service at St George's Chapel, Windsor, after a two year absence. For the occasion, Princess Charlotte matched with her mum in potentially her best look yet. Take a look below at what we loved about the mother-daughter duo's latest ensembles, plus 10 more examples of their impeccable co-dressing.

Returning to the Easter Matins service in Windsor, both The Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte rewore pieces they've been seen in previously. The pair chose a warm colour palette of soft neutrals and Princess Charlotte mirrored her mum's lapels and A-line midi skirt (both pieces by Self Portrait) with a collared coat dress which flowed into the same A-line shape.
While Kate opted for a pair of nude heeled pumps in the same shade as her bag, Princess Charlotte went for flat pumps which channelled the chocolate accents of her coat. The result was a sleek, co-ordinated look which felt suited to them individually, while still working together.

The Princess of Wales is well known for her love of polka dots, and it's the most frequent style she wears to Wimbledon. Two years after her Alessandra Rich dress on the left, Princess Charlotte joined her mum to watch the centre-court action in a strikingly similar navy dress. A true mini of her mum!

To celebrate The King's official birthday last year, Princess Charlotte joined her mum for a horse-drawn procession wearing the same shade of aqua blue. The bold colour was a favourite of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who was known for her love of bright colours, (as they helped her be seen from afar at public events). Princess Charlotte's puff sleeve dress is the perfect interpretation of Kate's grown up jacket, and both co-ordinated further by featuring white accents along the collars.

In December, Kate arrived at Westminster Abbey to host her annual carol service, and was joined by Prince William and all three of their children. For the occasion, both she and Princess Charlotte chose deep, rich blue looks with black tights. While Kate's outfit featured a faux-fur collar, Princess Charlotte's dress included a sweet Peter Pan collar more suited to her age.

Who could forget Coronation Day? In lieu of historical crowns, The Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte wore matching headpieces which were specially created by Jess Collett with Alexander McQueen. The stunning tiaras were fashioned from sparkling leaves covered in tiny crystals.

Back in 2022, it was all about pastel blue when it came to the Princess of Wales and her daughter's outfits. Princess Charlotte even wore matching tights, adding a navy cardigan over her floral dress. Meanwhile, Kate went for full monochrome with her hat, heels and clutch in the same shade. Even Prince George chose a pale blue shirt to co-ordinate.

Back in December, we saw Princess Charlotte's Easter coat again, with Kate this time picking up on the chocolate accents of her daughter's look by wearing a tartan coat in the same shade. While she wore a formal statement hat in black, Princess Charlotte chose a more subtle hair ribbon in the same colour as an alternative accessory.

Appropriately for Christmas, the Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte opted for co-ordinating coats in deep red. Both wore long, dress-style coats which were double-breasted and worn buttoned up against the cold.

Even while off-duty, the Princesses remain co-ordinated. In 2019, Kate brought the children to watch their dad, Prince William, and uncle, Prince Harry, play in a charity polo match. Both Kate and Princess Charlotte wore pink floral dresses with short statement sleeves - flared for Kate, puff for Princess Charlotte.

Trooping the Colour, 2024

There was a definite nautical inspiration behind the navy and white outfits Kate and Princess Charlotte wore on the balcony to watch the RAF flyover in 2024. The duo wore contrating colourways, with both outfits featuring bows and stripes. Princess Charlotte's look has a sailor style square-neckline with a central ribbon, while Kate's bow sits asymmetrically on one shoulder to offset her statement hat at the opposite angle.
