Nothing really compares to the collector frenzy that happens every time a sneaker brand releases a new shoe—but LEGO’s limited-edition collabs might come close. When Nike and LEGO collaborated on a collection last summer, it felt, to me, like a match made in heaven. And now that the duo is teaming up again to create a new limited-edition LEGO set, it’s only a matter of time before this iconic memorabilia sells out.
Last summer, LEGO and Nike released three LEGO sets along with custom shoes and clothes. Now, the collab is back with the iconic Air Max 95. The shoe is packed with retro-inspired details in a vintage neon-yellow and gray color palette—and it even includes a Minifigure dressed in head-to-toe Nike. One of the coolest features? There’s a hidden drawer located in the purple base that you can only access by twisting the shoe.
This set is designed for ages 12 and up, which makes it a great activity for sport-obsessed kids and adults alike.
But the collaboration isn’t just LEGO sets: With this new release also comes a special-edition Nike Air Max 95 sneaker with LEGO branding as well. Just note that they only come in children’s sizes. (I know—I’m bummed, too.)
Don’t be afraid to shop last year’s Nike x LEGO collaboration, either; I found several sets that are in stock right now and worth adding to your cart. That includes the Nike Dunk shoe with the brand logo and the Slam Dunk figurine of a basketball player in mid-air. My personal favorite release? The Nike Dunk Trickshot, because it comes with a lever that allows the Minifigure to actually move towards the basket. All three of the original sets are still available right now, but act fast: They are often backordered or have delayed shipping, and the sneakers and clothes tend to sell out fast.
