As a die-hard LEGO fan, I love getting their advent calendars since they have exclusive minifigures you can’t get anywhere else. The LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar in particular is one of my favorites because each year, the brand releases a new assortment of characters in festive garb. I’ll never get tired of seeing tough guys like the Mandalorian in an ugly Christmas sweater.
GET THE STAR WARS ADVENT CALENDAR
Most LEGO Advent calendars sell out well before the holidays, especially the Star Wars ones. But this year’s version is in stock right now, and thanks to Prime Big Deal Days (live October 6 and 7), it’s also 22% off, which is likely the best deal you’ll ever see on it.
This year's advent calendar is themed around The Mandalorian. Behind each of the 24 doors, kids (or adults!) will find pieces to build a minifigure, vehicle or accessory. My favorite detail? Mando and Grogu each have holiday sweaters featuring the other—it's such a sweet touch.
Along with the iconic duo, you'll also build characters like Moff Gideon and a Pit Droid, plus seven mini vehicles, including a festive X-Wing. There are even creatures like a Blurrg, Mudhorn, Bantha and Dewback, along with fun accessories such as Grogu's hoverpram and a table stacked with beskar.
The box is part of the fun, too—it unfolds and can be used as a printed backdrop for playtime. Star Wars fans will be pleased to learn that all these characters are compatible with other LEGO Star Wars sets, so it’s the gift that keeps on giving.
Judging by past years, these are often hard to find by the time Black Friday arrives, so if you want one for your holiday countdown, I’d order it now and stash it away until then.
