We Tasted 25 Different Nespresso Capsules—Here Are Our Top Picks
Our team of testers ranked dozens of Nespresso pods by flavor, intensity, and overall satisfaction—these top picks are worth stocking up on.

In the Good Housekeeping Institute Kitchen Appliances Lab, we’ve tested hundreds of coffee machines, including countless single-serve coffee machines and almost every Nespresso machine to hit the market—but after trying dozens, I kept circling back to the same question: Which capsules are actually worth drinking? With over 100 varieties across Nespresso’s Vertuo and Original lines, the thought of narrowing them down was enough to make me jittery—before I’d even had a sip.
We surveyed over 200 GH+ members across the country who are regular Nespresso users. Their insights, along with in-depth research, helped me narrow my tasting pool to 25 popular capsules—spanning both the Vertuo and Original lines. After recently earning two certifications from the Specialty Coffee Association, I felt well-equipped to lead this 25-capsule tasting journey.
Alongside my colleagues in the Good Housekeeping Test Kitchen and Kitchen Appliances Lab, we spent a month sampling Nespresso pods to determine our top-tested picks. Each one was evaluated for flavor notes, intensity, quality of crema, overall enjoyability, and more. And if none of our favorites suit your taste, I’ve also put together a helpful guide below to help you find the right capsule for your flavor preferences and preferred brewing style.
