When it comes to online shopping, Kelly Clarkson is just like the rest of us.
The singer just wrapped her Studio Sessions Las Vegas residency on August 15, after spending much of the summer performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. During one performance, The Kelly Clarkson Show host surprised the audience by asking where a piece of a fan's outfit came from.
“That is ... did you say Etsy?” she asked in the clip posted on Instagram on August 16. “Oh my god! Like, all of my money goes there! It’s like you know the story [of how] you shouldn’t work as a teenager because your entire check will be spent? I never worked at a vinyl store because I’d never make money. That is the same ... that is amazing.”
When Kelly’s comments about her relatable spending habits circulated online, her fans agreed.
“Late Night with Kelly Clarkson,” one person wrote on Facebook. “She is too freaking funny,” another agreed. “Haha we know her so much better than she realizes sometimes 😂😂😂😂,” a different follower added.
The star has mentioned in the past being conscious of her spending on tour.
"When you tour, like, you have to take everything in trucks,” she said in a clip taken at a July 2025 performance of her Studio Sessions residency. “So, you have to pay for all that. You can't really pay for seven guitars on stage 'cause you make no money. Unless you're Taylor Swift, then you can do whatever the f*** you want. For the rest of us minions, [it doesn't] work.”
