Mark Consuelos underwent surgery for arthritis in his foot on September 25.

The TV host returned to Live With Kelly and Mark on September 28.

Mark and his wife, Kelly Ripa, shared details of his recovery from the surgery.

Mark Consuelos is back on daytime TV after a surprise health update.

On September 25, the Live With Kelly and Mark host revealed to the audience that he was undergoing foot surgery that day after suffering from painful arthritis in his toe. At the time, Mark mentioned that he’d been “putting off this toe surgery for about a year” and was going to have to stay off his feet to recover.

But in a twist of events, Mark surprised audiences by coming to work for the September 28 taping of Live. He arrived on a knee scooter, which let him move around without putting pressure on his injured foot.

“Hi, welcome. It is Monday, September 28th, 2026,” Kelly began the clip that was posted on Instagram. “Look who’s here!”

“I made it!” Mark exclaimed. “You know, I thought that we were giving the under and over whether or not I’d be here. I thought for sure it was like a 90% chance I wouldn’t be here today.”

While the two went on to detail Mark’s “hilarious” antics in recovery at the hospital and in the days after, Mark also acknowledged that the experience was very different from his similar surgery over a decade earlier.

“Dr. [Martin J.] O’Malley at HSS is amazing,” he added. “He does all the feet and ankles for the basketball players, so I thought I was in good hands.”

Fans rallied around Mark in support.

“Woo hoo Mark! Glad you could be there today!!!” one person wrote in the comments. “Get well soon Mark ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” another penned. “Be careful on that thing! I was warned they tip easily. Wishing you a speedy recovery! ❤️‍🩹,” a different follower added about Mark’s scooter.

We hope to see Mark in good shape soon!
