Fire Country has been renewed for season 5, with the new season premiering this fall on CBS.
Star Max Thieriot announced that Fire Country had started production on filming new episodes for season 5.
The news comes just weeks after fans learned that the Fire Country spinoff series, Sheriff Country, had also started production on season 2.
Fire Country fans, it looks like we’re ready to head back to Edgewater.
It’s been over a month since the final episode of season 4 aired, with viewers already eager to see Cal Fire and Three Rock back in action. Well, Max Thieriot (who is the show’s executive producer and stars as Bode Leone) has something major to share about the show’s current status—and he clued fans in over on Instagram on June 23.
Max posted a photo of himself drinking a smoothie while in uniform and sitting behind a fire truck, and announced that Fire Country was officially in production for season 5. What’s more, he had to joke that he’s making sure to get plenty of rest while in between scenes.
“Smoothie break 😘,” he joked in the caption. “@firesheriffcbs season 5 baby!”
And naturally, fans were ecstatic to see that more episodes of the CBS drama were coming.
“So looking forward to Season 5!!🔥❤️🔥 Glad you had a chance to take a break and enjoy a smoothie!” one person exclaimed in the comments. “@maxthieriot ohhh yessss 🤩🙌💃🏻 soo excited 🥰🫶😎,” another wrote. “Yes, cannot wait, I love this show and your character!” a different follower added.
Fire Country isn’t the only show on CBS that’s currently in production for another season. The show’s spinoff, Sheriff Country, is also filming for season 2—and as Matt Lauria (who plays Nathan Boone) teased on Instagram, it looks like Max may be popping up on that show for another crossover moment.
“Starting the season off with a bang! 💥 @firesheriffcbs,” he wrote on June 16.
Can new episodes air soon, please???
