When does a plain cotton T-shirt with matching trousers become something more than the sum of its parts?
When that T-shirt is generously caped – caped! – with sleeves that cover your arms and billow as you move, finished with button details borrowed from classic shirting, and paired with matching carrot-cut trousers featuring the very same buttons.
We've made no secret of our love of a co-ord, or matching set, here in the Good Housekeeping Style department, and this is shaping up to be my favourite of the summer.

Simply by giving the T-shirt a cape and cutting the trousers into a flattering carrot shape, Zara has transformed what could have been a basic outfit into a chic, superhero-style fashion statement.
At the moment, the caped T-shirts are available in white, black and tan for £19.99. The tan T-shirt has matching trousers, while the white version is styled with white linen trousers. As yet, the black T-shirt's matching trousers aren't in stock – but hopefully not for long.
I always use the "Notify Me" button on the Zara website to tell me when pieces come back into stock. Zara produces many of its collections in relatively short runs, so it's well worth keeping an eye on the items you love to make sure you don't miss out.
