With Easter officially behind us, we thought we’d hit peak chocolate consumption. Turns out, we were very wrong. M&S has just launched a brand-new and rather outrageous treat: the Giant Chocolatey Milk Chocolate Coated Custard Cream, and it’s already caught our attention.

Inspired by their cult Big Daddy bar (if you know, you know), this latest creation is a hefty 270g 'bar' - although calling it a bar feels like a bit of an understatement. It’s closer to a mini cake in size, and definitely something you’ll want to slice rather than snap.

M&S

At its core is M&S’s take on the classic custard cream biscuit. Think buttery, sweet vanilla filling sandwiched between crumbly biscuit layers, but supersized and taken to the next level. The whole thing is then generously coated in a thick layer of smooth milk chocolate, tipping the balance firmly in favour of chocolate over biscuit.

M&S describes it as 'more chocolate than biscuit,' and that’s exactly the correct ratio when it comes to chocolate coated anything. It leans into that nostalgic flavour we all grew up with, but in a much more indulgent, grown-up and mega sized format.

Despite its size, it’s priced at a very reasonable £5.75, making it a fun option for sharing with friends or family. Or, if you’re not in the mood to share, a few slices over a couple of days works just as well. Well, it's safe to say our post-Easter chocolate break has officially been cancelled.
