Well, well, well… it looks like 2026 has a new food trend contender, and some might say we have Dua Lipa to thank for it. If you missed it, in 2024 she revealed she loves adding pickle juice and pickle slices to her cola. Naturally, the internet ran with it. First, KFC launched a full pickle menu (including a pickle Pepsi), and now Nespresso have taken things up a notch with a coffee pickle collab...

This isn't just random either because Dua Lipa is the brand’s newest ambassador, so it feels like only a matter of time before they leaned into her famously unusual flavour combo. Enter: a pickle cola coffee drink. Yep, we're confused too..but equally intrigued to try it!?

From 14–19 April, Nespresso is hosting The Recipe Remix in Covent Garden Piazza, an immersive pop-up where customers can try a range of experimental drinks for free and win prizes. The standout on the wacky menu? The Pickled Coffee Cola, made with a Double Espresso Chiaro Vertuo pod poured over ice, topped with diet cola and finished with pickle brine. It sounds wild, but if you like bitter, slightly savoury drinks like an amaro and tonic, this could be surprisingly drinkable.

But, that's not all on the wacky menu. There’s also a Salted Affogato (gelato, coffee, olive oil and sea salt), a Pineapple and Tajín Coffarita with a spicy tropical twist, and a Rhubarb and Custard Crumbleccino that leans into nostalgic dessert flavours.

But the most intriguing has to be the “Love It or Hate It” Latte. Inspired by Marmite, it blends coffee with Marmite, tops it with avocado foam and serves it with buttered sourdough. It’s bold, bizarre and guaranteed to divide opinion. And if that wasn't exciting enough, more recipes will be rolling out across the UK, with coffee explorers invited to visit their local Nespresso boutique to enjoy them.
